PUR brings you a unique carbon water filter that removes 90% of the mercury from the water. It could also remove chlorine and trace amount of pharmaceuticals which are dissolved in water. You get a filtered and great-tasting water leaving the good fluoride back in the water. This water filter pitcher can easily fit inside the refrigerator and offers you a quick way out for accessing clean, drinking water.
On the top, you will find one electronic filter indicator that shows the current status of the filter. There’s a small light on it which will signal you when it’s time for filter replacement.
PUR 11 Cup Water Filtration Pitcher Review
Comparing the pitcher models and the features – this PUR 11 Cup is an incredible choice and is also inexpensive. This Quality and Price ratio is a crucial factor, isn’t it? For example, you may not get a quality product even at a higher price, while going too low on the prices won’t get you a good purchase either.
In that scenario, PUR is a unique selection which comes with quality features at a truly affordable price. You can fill about 11 cups of water inside this pitcher, well that should give you some idea about its size.
The filter cartridges have a capacity of dealing 40 gallons of water. I know that’s not a high number!
If the water consumption at your home is high or you got many members at home – then this water filter pitcher won’t suit you.
Filters deliver 40 gallons of water, so once this limit is crossed you will have to get a filter replacement to continue using the pitcher as before.
For the best pitcher performance, it is recommended to only use the PUR filters.
Our home water may look clean to you, but it actually consists of many contaminants and unhealthy elements that are not visible to the eyes. It’s important that you get them out before it reaches your food and finally your body.
PUR 11-Cup filter pitcher is a pro at removing mercury, heavy metals, and almost 96% of the pharmaceutical elements from the water supply. If you consider it as a whole, then the PUR filters could remove a total of 22 contaminants!
How does it work?
Here you get to use MAXION technology which combines carbon with the ion-exchange resins for delivering the best kind of contaminant reduction. When this unique technology is combined with the PUR water filter, you could turn any kind of water into a clean, drinkable state.
There are four sections of filtering – it begins from the coconut shells which are heat treated with the steam. Then, they are passed to the carbon filtering, which is then followed by the ion-exchange process.
Once the water is through from the ion-exchange section, you will get the clean, purified water coming out from the pitcher.
- 4 filtration steps included
- Removes out 22 contaminants from the water
- Includes activated carbon and the ion-exchange process for optimal filtration
- Free of BPA elements
- Handle comes with a comfortable grip on it and gives an ease
- Compact in shape and so fits in wherever it is placed
- Both the PUR filters and pitchers are recyclable in nature
- Eco-friendly option
- The filling can get a bit slow here
- Softening process needs improvement
Except for these two issues, I didn’t find anything wrong with the PUR filter pitcher. Just that the speed of the filling and the softening are not upto the mark. Therefore, PUR has to work on both these aspects. Otherwise, this pitcher is a bomb product for the price range.
