CamelBak Relay Water Filter Pitcher Review

You can filter the water at the same speed as the water comes out of your faucet, therefore no waiting. This model supports the hashtag #HardToWait, and it totally justifies as well. You can filter the water as you fill the pitcher, and do the same as you pour the water out. The pitcher comes with a dual-filter setup, which is the main secret behind the fresh, filtered water.

CamelBak Relay Water Filter Pitcher Review

Another interesting thing on this filter pitcher is that the pitcher is pleated, which increases the amount of water every time when it is refilled. With the help of this design, the Relay pitcher filters about 10 times of what other water pitcher filters.

Filter Capacity

Filters run for a longer time than the usual ones used on a pitcher – for about 4 months.

In this dual-filter construction, each filter is made using the plant-grade activated carbon. Tests have shown that Relay removes chloramine as well as chlorine taste and odor.

The capacity of the filter pitcher is about 0.62 gallon or we can say 10 cups. Size is of the medium style, so you will be required to refill the pitcher, again and again, depending on the water consumption.

Double Filter Technology

Yes, you do get a dual-filters here which speeds up the filtering process. This ensures that you don’t waste any time waiting for the water.

The main difference of this model with the other standard filters is related to the filtering process. While most of the pitchers make use of hard-built filters for removing impurities, this one, on the other hand, uses a thin filter.

The non-woven filter is generally designed in a way that it filters all sized-contaminants. But, because of the thin filter design, a lot of many impurities get passed through this membrane. This way, CamelBak doesn’t remove all the contaminants from the water.

Space-Saving Design

This CamelBak stores about 10 cups of water, and also easily fits inside your fridge. You can fill up the Relay and set them inside the fridge in seconds. Just in a snap!

If you think more about the uses of water, you can use this water for washing vegetables as well as for making your morning tea or coffee.

Customer Feedback & Reviews

Customer Feedbacks, the heading looks an easy-going one, but in reality, it’s not. I read customer reviews online as well as offline, some of my friends have got this system so it helped me in knowing the product more clearly.

Pros

  • Better than the traditional pitchers
  • Improved taste of the water
  • Saves space
  • Made using durable and BPA-free Tritan
  • Here the locking lid is spill-proof
  • Filter Replacement Dial makes the replacement work smooth
  • Quick water filtering nature!

Cons

  • It won’t remove all the water contaminants, and this could be a trouble for you.

Yes, the drawback is of a real concern. Even though the pitcher improves the taste and filters the water quickly – it works only on the chlorine taste and odor. While other models with the same specs and feature remove many other contaminants as well. I found this thing surprising though.

Like, I would really want a filter that removes all the water contaminants.

Just a thought: Visit the store, and ask the official if you could take a demo test of the pitcher. If they allow, test the product instantly and check for the results.

Overall, I would give it a 7/10 for the features and performance. Have you used this water filter pitcher personally? Got any experiences to share? Write in your answers in the feedback space below!
